Seasons Change

Seasons change like the hearts of man
Why we grow cold, no one understands
The trees are always reaching towards the sky
Looking at the sun, hoping not to die

Man looks to himself for his life
Looking within for strength and might
How wise are the trees and the birds of the air?
Depending on themselves they would not dare

Like a baseball being caught by a glove
Or the message of peace being shown by a dove
How can we fathom Gods love and mercy
Heaven could not contain Jesus, who came for the lost and thirsty!

Close Knit

When the weak rise
Courage flows
When the strong fade
Cowards grow

Destiny calls those with ears
A silent voice only a few will hear

Courage is like a bear protecting her cubs
No fear in the fight, she'll never give up
Willing to die for the ones she protects
The giving of life no one will forget

No greater love than to die for another
Courage and love are closer knit than a brother

It's easy to love like the rest of the world
Harder to be pure and clean and respect a girl

Ultimate love was shown by Jesus
Made himself nothing so he could free us
Being blameless in all his ways
The look of I LOVE YOU, no need to say
Barely breathing on the cross that night
Courage not to give up, Jesus won the fight!

Choice from Voice

What am I?
Am I my own?
What is my life?
Is it on loan?
Who is my maker?
What is His name?
Is He from heaven ?
Can you please explain

Purpose of life, how can you know?
Who is God?
Does he wear clothes?
All the hate, where is the peace?
Bombs, and wars, what about disease?
God where are you?
Do you even care?
God, I'm speaking, are you there?

I have been here, where were you
I love this world, way more than you
Son I love you, you are mine
Apart from me you are blind
I sent my son to fight the sin
To crush death, only to win
My son I am working
In the hearts of man
Jesus is life, He fulfilled my plan
I grieve with your pain, I'll see you through
Go tell the world of my glorious news!
I create, build, and restore by my voice
Go my son, tell the world of their choice!

Radiance

Its one of those days
They seem to happen often
Not enough time
My eyes are having trouble staying open

Class seems like a chore
Uneventful, uninspiring learning
I try not to snore
And my stomach is turning

The weather is cold and raining of course
The grade on my test shows no remorse
To much time is the problem now
Time plays games and likes to slow down
Entertaining my mind is the goal
Distracting my thoughts until I can go

Yet in my complaining, the sun breaks through
Creating a solution for my dreary mood
The radiance of the sun demands a choice
To stay in sorrow or experience the joy
Not choosing at all is a choice indeed
Because we don't know what its like to be free

I see the fence where I must stand
No sitting in between, my feet must land
Reminded of my sorrows I turn back and see
The things I dislike and hate about me

Then I hear a voice in my ear
He said son, don't be afraid I am near
Don't look back at the fear and strife
I am the radiance, and I am life

Everyone

Distinguishing from right and wrong
Choosing to get up or fall
Humility or Arrogance
We have one life and one chance

Choosing to do what you believe
The difference of failing or acheive
You decide which way you go
Up the hill or down the road

Everyone needs help along the way
Someone to direct your path
Without guidance you will sway
Your walking across thin glass

But Jesus knows your life
He knows your struggles and your fights
He knows the situation you are in
Let him work from within

The tomb is still empty still this day
Jesus is moving in great ways
Give Him your troubles through prayer
Give Him your worries and your cares

Lasting

Always confused about what to believe
is it true or just another scheme
lies that steal our joy and give us pain
what went wrong, where was the first break
a tiny hole in a large bucket of water
that begins to leak for you and not others
the water begins to flood from all the lies
starting with the tears from your eyes

Everyone is happy except you it seems
Always smiling and having fun but me
The suns not shinning and the rain is coming fast
Being fed up, how long will the pain last

Then suddenly out of nowhere the sun shines through
You see Him standing there right at you
You notice scars on his hands and feet
He said they were caused from the pain given by me
Being confused He explained what he meant
Why would I cause pain to this man
He was innocent but said he loves me so
But He said I was forgiven and said lets go

He explained to me what went wrong
He promised the pain won't last long
Relationships are broken everyday
And said a relationship with me will stay
He said He's redeeming what was lost
And the scars were the pain of the cost

Humility of a Champion

God you are the champion
A great warrior, that knows not defeat
Some may say weakness, when you washed the disciples feet
I see a leader, a pure charcter that is true
Who can compare to a champion like you

You did not lose on Calvary's Hill
You gave your life, for it was your will
Some may say weakness when you died that day
Little did they know you didn't go away

Now in Heaven but in our hearts
You gave us your Spirit to set us apart
Doing good works through sinful man
For this I am grateful, so I say Amen!
